About El Nido, Palawan:
The nature in El Nido is blessed with spectacular limestone rock formations thrusting out of the sea to create numerous tiny islands with dramatic seaside cliffs. Its serene beauty easily compares internationally with Guilin in China, Halong Bay in Vietnam and Koh Phi Phi in Thailand. Whilst these destinations are very popular with tourists, the Philippines remains relatively untouched in comparison, although the last couple of years has seen a dramatic increase in the number of tourists. El nido city has become now a rather crowded and noisy town and therefore we recommended accommodation away from town. It’s unfortunate that waste water from the resorts flows directly into the sea making the beach in el nido and partly the beach in Corong Corong less attractive. The boat tours are the main attraction and despite the influx of tourists the beauty of the nearby islands remains amazing and one of best sceneries in Asia.
New resorts/hotels are being built at a fast pace eg Marimegmeg ( most exclusive hotel on mainland) and lime hotel. The Ayala Group is developing a whole new area called Lio with hotels called Kalaw, Covo, Balai , Seda, Adlao with bars and restaurants. All the hotels are quite sizable so ideal for big groups. The ambiance is more being liked by Asian customers. Europeans with high budget prefer to stay in Corong Corong in our preferred resorts such as Last Frontier, Coco, Mahogany Resort and Calypso resort. Another place to stay is Moringa Hotel, owned by Coco Resort, though not along the beach offers great rooms but you pay much less.
We don’t prefer to book any place in El Nido town as it’s crowded, noisy and the quality of accommodation and service is below par though the newest hotels s and h hotel are good.
Some places in El Nido town has been demolished by the government as they did not comply with the new environmental regulations

The resort is located in Corong Corong a 5 min ride by trycycle or a 20 min walk from el nido town. The cottage was designed with couples in mind. Romantic due to its more private location and natural charm of materials used. High ceiling, king size bed, fridge and spacious veranda with panoramic view overlooking El Nido Bay and it’s renowned limestone cliffs. The family cottage on top has its own small swimming pool (see picture) which makes the family room with 2 separate rooms very private. As the resort lies against the hill stairs has to be climbed. The resort itself does not serve lunch or dinner but the French owned La Plage restaurant is a 5 min walk away.
Mahogany Beach Resort in Corong Corong is a 2 minutes walk away from its sister resort overlooking resort, relative new, created in 2015 and blends nature with comfort in a tropical garden setting with numerous palm trees. The infinity pool and the gazebo with its own bar are perfect to relax.
The spacious terrace of your cottage provides uninterrupted beach view of Corong Corong, with the spectacular backdrop of the islands in Bacuit Bay. Decoration is truly Palawan style with wood and bamboo to make you feel relaxed in harmony with nature. Mahogany resort also doesnot serve lunch and dinner but the French restaurant La plage is just a few steps away. The nearby resorts coco resort and last frontier offer also dining options.

Last Frontier Resort is set in a prime location of Palawan, 1.5 km from El Nido town. Last Frontier Beach Resort is the neighbour of Coco and Mahogany Resort in Corong Corong and offers similar ambiance.
They have 6 cottages/villa’s and are building 4 more. They offer free wifi in all rooms. All rooms are designed and decorated to make guests feel right at home. Recuperate from a full day of sightseeing in the comfort of your room or take advantage of the Hotel’s recreational facilities such as an outdoor pool and restaurant.

Coco Resorts El Nido is a spacious, quite and peaceful place surrounded with lush greenery. It features a large terrace with sitting area. Rooms are equipped with airconditioning , a safety deposit box, minibar, and a private bathroom with shower facility. Located 30m close to Corong Corong Beach.
Coco Reorts provide a 24- hour front desk staff that will assist guest with luggage storage, laundry services and tour arrangement and airport transfer.
Cadlao Resort is located 10 min walk from El nido town and can only be reached by tricycle or walking. Nest Hotel is their neighbor.
The resort is inspired by traditional-modern type Filipino bungalows, Cadlao Resort & Restaurant has a total of 25 rooms, 2 standard bungalow located farthest from the restaurant, sea and swimming pool, their deluxe rooms are a bit closer.
Their seafront rooms offer the best views of South China Sea and El Nido’s Bay. Their poolside bungalows are close to the swimming pool and have also sea view, same like their family rooms. The family rooms have 2 rooms.
Apulit Island Resort, set in Taytay Bay in North-eastern Palawan, offers exciting and exhilarating activities for the thrill-seeker.
