About Boracay:
Famous for its 4 kilometers (!) long beach of powdery white sand, that squeak when walked on, glorious sunsets and endless summer atmosphere, Boracay Island is the number two destination for travelers from abroad in the country after Cebu (which has Mactan International airport).
There is no airport on Boracay Island itself. To get there, one can choose either ‘’Caticlan” or “Kalibo” airport , both located on nearby Panay island. “Caticlan” airport is a 5 minutes car ride to the Caticlan pier where the boats leave for Boracay Island. “Kalibo” airport is a 2 hours busride instead. In both cases there is a 20 minutes boat ride from Caticlan pier to Boracay island.
Boracay’s differences with other Philippines islands: numerous international restaurants too choose from, a world-class golf course and lively nightlife. The two kinds of prevailing winds makes it also very suitable for various water sports.
