Your journey begins at the historic Rizal Park, a significant site honoring the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Here, you can take in the beautiful gardens and monuments before proceeding to Fort Santiago, located within the Walled City of Intramuros—the oldest district and historical heart of Manila.
During your visit, you’ll make a brief stop at Plaza De Roma, where you can appreciate its serene ambiance, and the majestic Manila Cathedral, known for its stunning architecture. Next, you’ll explore Casa Manila, a museum that replicates a traditional Spanish-era “Illustrado” home, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Filipino elite during colonial times. Following this, you’ll stop at San Agustin Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and National Historical Landmark, renowned for its Baroque architecture.
The tour continues with a drive around the Makati Commercial Center, the financial hub of the Philippines, showcasing modern skyscrapers and bustling activity. You’ll also pass through the gated community of Forbes Park, home to some of the country’s wealthiest residents.
Next, you’ll visit the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, a tranquil and beautifully maintained site that honors 17,206 graves of U.S. personnel who lost their lives during World War II. This cemetery is the largest of its kind outside the United States, providing a solemn space for reflection and remembrance.
Finally, you will return to your hotel, taking a scenic route through the reclaimed area of Bay City and the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex along Roxas Boulevard, where you can admire the blend of contemporary architecture and cultural landmarks.
